The Portrait

A small scene based on the “The Portrait” by Rene Magritte. I played a lot with the lighting and color grading in this as I couldn’t decided whether to go with the muted tones of the painting or make it more vibrant. In the end I went for the latter.

The models were made with 3dsmax and Zbrush and textured with substance3dpainter. The eye animation was made in 3dsmax while the butterfly is a shader material in unreal. The scene was set up and rendered in unrealengine5.
