Urban alley scene. I started off the project by gathering visual resources and making quick sketches of how I wished the scene to appear. I then proceded to make the assets in zbrush and 3ds max (retopologizing the assets made in zbrush in 3ds max). After unwrapping the meshes I exported them into Substance painter where I baked the required normal, ambient occlusion and heigth maps. The labels and graffiti designs were made in photoshop then imported into Substance Painter. I also made the brick, concrete and tarmac textures in Substance Designer looking to various Youtube tutorials for reference.
Upon completing the texturing process I then brought the assets into Unreal engine. Here I set up the scene and experimented with different lighting and post processing settings, looking for the best way to create interesting shadows and contrasts of light and colour within the scene.
